Education and Job History
Ms. Tomoko Furukawa graduated from Gakushuin University (Philosophy) and studied aesthetics at the University of Paris IV, Sorbonne. Upon returning to Japan, she worked for a French textile maker and then the Embassy of Tunisia in Japan as a public relations officer.
She began her career as an IP attorney in 2008 and has worked for three patent firms in Tokyo, handling trademark and design prosecution cases, license negotiation, and brand consulting in the apparel, shoes, pharmaceuticals, chemical, and mechanical device industries.
Ms. Furukawa established her own firm i::Fronterra in September 2021 where she leverages her experience as a trademark and design specialist to provide naming consulting services. She started working with S-Cube International Patent Firm in March 2022.
